Fladgate Still & Sparkling Wines was established in September 2023, following the acquisition of IdealDrinks by the Group The Fladgate Partnership marking a new chapter in the company’s history.
The acquired company, which had been in business for 13 years, already enjoyed a remarkable reputation, recognized for its deep dedication to the world of wine and for producing wines of excellence capable of rivaling the renowned wine regions of Champagne, Bordeaux and Burgundy.
Fladgate Still & Sparkling Wines is committed to continuing this challenge, adjusting its portfolio and internationalization strategy, incorporating its vast experience and wisdom acquired over more than three centuries of winemaking tradition.

Bairrada Wines
Bairrada wines, whether in a more classic style, with indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, or in a more international style, using French grape varieties on their own or in combinations with local varieties, always reflect the region’s unique terroir.
The moderate Atlantic climate, combined with the gentle hills and clay-limestone soils, creates a similarity with the climate and soil of the prestigious Bordeaux region, contributing to the freshness and complexity of the wines.

VINHOS VERDES
The Vinhos Verdes demarcated region is the largest in Portugal, with around 34,000 hectares spread over a vast area in the north of the country. It is a region rich in water resources and with a mild climate, ideal for producing balanced wines.
The maritime climate, together with fertile granite soils, gives rise to refreshing, high-quality wines with a natural acidity that makes them unique.

Dão Wines
The Dão region, created in 1908, is protected by the mountains that surround it, shielding it from the cold continental winds and the humid Atlantic winds. The low-fertility granite soils, together with the continental climate, result in powerful wines that develop a subtle elegance as they age in the bottle.
This balance between strength and finesse makes Dão wines exceptional over time.
