“Without question, a Super Portuguese” – Principal Grande Reserva 2013

“Without question, a Super Portuguese”.

This is how Raúl Riba D’Ave, director of Fladgate Still & Sparkling Wines, classifies our latest red wine from the Principal brand, the Grande Reserva 2013.

Highlighting the ‘fresh, black fruit’, ‘depth and concentration’ and ‘vibrant acidity and a very long finish’, Ana Isabel Pereira, in her tasting note for Público, praises the terroirs of Fladgate Wines, considering them ‘true jewels’.

The 96 points awarded by Ana Isabel Pereira are the result of rigorous and dedicated production at Quinta Colinas de São Lourenço, where the soils are rich in limestone and the vines are entirely dryland, planted with high density, combined with top oenology.

Thus, with its high quality and unique characteristics, Principal Grande Reserva Red 2013 is able to compete with Bordeaux wines.
