Silica White 2023
The word Sílica derives from Silicon, or *Silex* in Latin, meaning “hard stone.” This material is present in various types of soil within the Earth’s crust and is, in fact, the second most abundant element. In the Douro region, it appears in feldspar, granite, and quartz, imparting a mineral sensation to our wines, defined by a tactile freshness that lingers on the palate. This refreshing sensation, combined with a purity of fruit achieved through protective winemaking of some of the finest native grape varieties, makes these wines perfect partners for any meal.
LOCATION: Cima Corgo, Douro DOC
TERROIR: Continental climate, sheltered by the Marão Mountains from the cold, humid winds coming from the Atlantic. Terraced vineyards and vertically planted vines at altitudes ranging from 200 to 500 meters.
